2D Mixed Media – Salem Art Fair and Festival

I work with acrylics and particles of metals mixed with different types of acrylic gels and paste.

I use Sennelier and Caran D’ache oil pastels over an acrylic underpainting on 2-3″ deep birch panels.

Combination of acrylic paint, paper, and fabric on wood panel.

All pieces are made with laser-cut birch plywood & stained glass that has been hand assembled.

I use the natural beauty of semi-precious stones and stained glass inlayed in a scenic mural.

I use molding and fiber pastes, glass bead and granular gels, mica, shells, dichroic glass, beads, and gold.

Word collages made from thousands of magazine cutouts relating to theme. Cut, glued, and varnsihed.

Images cut from printed media are collaged onto a 1/4″ thick piece of plywood and sealed.

I primarily paint with acrylic paints and mediums with the occasional use of paper collage elements.
